Welcome to Occupational Therapist Online

Selfcare based support, therapeutic exercise, mental health and beyond

Getting Started

We work with many insurances including those plans include Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Commercial Plans (S & P), and Medicare Part B.
We can also provide fees for out-of-network rates if you do not have insurance coverage.
Evaluations typically last 75-90 minutes and treatment sessions typically last 60 minutes.
We will start out by matching you with a therapist who can effectively help you achieve your goals, based upon the Client Questionnaire.
After the referral process is completed, your occupational therapy journey begins with an evaluation. This will be a chance for the therapist to get to know you better, what you’d like to accomplish in therapy, and how you’re currently functioning.
At the time of the evaluation, your therapist will determine your underlying problem(s) that is interfering with your ability to function normally.
We will set your goals and future sessions will include education, exercises, activities, and other treatment to improve your quality of life.
Our aim is to get to know you and collaborate to develop a unique plan of care tailored to your goals. Our team uses evidence-based treatment approaches to provide high-quality therapy.
The therapist will address any concerns you have along the way. No person is the same and it’s not realistic to expect excellent outcomes with a cookie-cutter approach.
You’ll be treated with respect and empathy in a judgment-free environment.
Most episodes of care last about 6-8 sessions, often times with a frequency of 1-2 x a week.
Each treatment session is approximately 40 minutes long and all sessions are 1:1 with the licensed individual providing your care virtually.
The time frame will be different for each person and we’ll determine it during the evaluation.
Some clients may only need an evaluation and few treatment sessions to get them on their way.
Others may require sessions once a week for 6-12 weeks.
To begin working with a member of our team, we request that you first fill out our Client Questionnaire.
We will then help you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We will connect you with a therapist who will answer all of your questions.
If you are ready to move forward, we will work together to get a physician’s referral so we can start therapy.

You may be wondering what exactly telehealth is. Essentially, it is a way for us to make sure that our patients are still receiving the highest possible quality of care they need from a remote location.
Occupational Therapist Online's telehealth services can be accessed via your smartphone or computer, and you will be able to perform your OT treatments from the comfort of your own home.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic that has been causing numerous health care facilities to shut down, we as medical professionals are diligently trying to serve our patients in the best ways possible without risking the spread of this disease.
At Occupational Therapist Online, our telehealth services offer live consultation where you can meet and chat with your occupational therapist about your treatment plan.
The expansion of computer-based services has transformed care delivery, expanded access for millions of Americans and increased convenience in caring for patients, especially those with transportation or mobility limitations.
In addition to allowing for the practice of social distancing, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, telehealth also has other benefits for patients. As stated by the American Physical Therapy Association, just a few of these include:
Patients typically in clinical or hospital settings could be managed from their homes. Quicker screening, assessment, and referrals can improve care coordination within collaborative delivery models such as accountable care organizations or patient-centered medical homes Telehealth can facilitate consultation between providers or in clinical education.
Virtual therapy holds tremendous potential to leverage geographically dispersed provider capacity to support patient demand.
Video telecommunications allow therapy to take place in the comfort of the patient’s home or other settings outside of a therapy clinic or hospital. Stay safe and healthy and continue your OT treatment at home with online/virtual physical therapy.
Because of this, telehealth services are a great option for us at this time. By providing care for our patients virtually, as opposed to in person, we are able to keep both our patients and OT providers safe.
